Good dental hygiene habits should start as early as possible!

Dental hygiene means caring for your teeth and gums on a daily basis and can be started as early as a child’s 1st birthday or within 6 months of developing their first tooth. During your check up our hygienist will provide a thorough examination and gentle teeth cleaning plus show you techniques to help to continue a lifetime of excellent oral health.

Cleanings and Checkups
To maintain good oral health, regular checkups are essential. Our hygienist will clean your teeth extensively, polishing and rinsing to remove plaque. Your gums and teeth will be checked to detect early signs of gingivitis and periodontal disease. Your teeth will be inspected for cavities and tooth decay, and we will look for problems that may not be apparent to an untrained eye.

Selecting Your Toothpaste and Toothbrush
Keeping your smile healthy and beautiful requires choosing the right products for dental health. There are lots of options for dental floss, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and mouthwashes. Don’t feel overwhelmed; products with American Dental Association (ADA) approval are always a safe choice.
